Between climate regulation and economic efficiency: data-based strategies for the housing industry

The transformation of existing buildings is increasingly under economic pressure: rising construction and operating costs, limited scope for investment, CO₂ pricing and uncertainties regarding apportionability and subsidies. Against this backdrop, the economic viability of efficiency measures in existing buildings is becoming a key focus. In this context, the noventic group is initiating the panel to steer the discussion towards a central point: economic viability can only be achieved on the basis of reliable data. Efficiency measures in existing buildings must now be designed in such a way that they create transparency, support decision-making and enable prioritisation – before major investments are made.
