Verschärfte Klimaziele: die Bedeutung für den Gebäudesektor

Bis zum Jahr 2050 soll Deutschland – über alle Sektoren hinweg – klimaneutral sein. So das Ziel, das EU-Kommissionspräsidentin von der Leyen im Europäischen Green Deal formuliert hat. Die Zwischenziele auf dem Weg zur Klimaneutralität hat die EU-Kommission jetzt weiter verschärft: Bis 2030 sollen die Emissionen um 55 Prozent gesenkt werden; das derzeit noch gültige Reduktionsziel beträgt 40 Prozent. Nachdem die Bundesregierung kürzlich im Klimaschutzbericht positiv über die Erreichung der festgelegten Ziele für 2019 berichtet hat, wird die europäische Wirtschaft nun vor größere Herausforderungen gestellt.
