Energy savings scientifically confirmed

In the case study "Energieeinsparpotenzial (Bereich Wärme) für Mieter durch den Einsatz Smarter Heizkörperthermostate" (04/2023), the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) demonstrated average energy savings of 15.5 % through the use of smart thermostats in tenant households. The study set-up neutralises the effects of the weather and assumed savings efforts as a result of high energy prices in the 2022–2023 heating period.

BaltBest study proves significant reduction in energy consumption at building level

The three-year BaltBest research project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics, comprehensively analyses 100 existing buildings in the housing industry. The result: an average increase in energy efficiency of around 15 % and a peak increase of up to 30 % is possible through the use of digital assistance systems for tenants. Around 80 % of the residents of an apartment building can benefit significantly from this: the prerequisite identified by the study is the ease of use of the technology by tenants.
